Rishta in Pakistan

Pakistan is where most of our profiles begin — from Karachi's coastal sprawl to the mountain districts of Hazara.

Matrimonial matches for Pakistani families

Families inside Pakistan usually want a match within the same province or biradari, and increasingly an overseas-settled match for a daughter or son.

We cover 78 cities across Pakistan. Every profile shows education, profession, family background, sect, caste and partner preferences openly. Photos and WhatsApp numbers stay locked until the member accepts your request — there is no chat, and no way to message someone who has not agreed to be contacted.

Two different searches run through this page. A family looking inside Pakistan sets the country to Pakistan and narrows by province, city, biradari and sect. A family hoping their son or daughter marries someone settled overseas leaves the country open and filters on residency status instead. The same filter panel does both, and plenty of families run both at once.

Who is on ByahMe in Pakistan

Every profession

Over three hundred professions across twenty groups — medicine, engineering, IT, business, finance, government, defence, teaching, law, agriculture, skilled trades, transport, media, hospitality and home. A service that lists only doctors and engineers is telling everyone else they do not belong.

Every marital status

Never married, divorced, khula, widowed, separated, and those seeking a second marriage. Listed identically, with no separate section and no marker. These families are treated worst by the traditional process, which is exactly why they are treated the same here.

Every family background

Nuclear, joint, extended, single-parent and living-abroad households, from salaried professional families to trading families, landed families and religious households. Family class is stated plainly rather than in euphemisms, because families ask.

Searching inside Pakistan, and searching out of it

Families settled in Pakistan looking for a match in their own province or city, and families in Pakistan hoping a son or daughter will marry someone settled overseas. Both are common here, and the second is where most of the avoidable mistakes get made.

Searching inside Pakistan

The local pool in any one city is smaller than families expect, which is why nearly everyone widens to the surrounding cities within the first week. Set the country to Pakistan, leave the city open, and filter on biradari and sect first if those matter to your family — doing it in that order saves the conversation that ends badly at the third meeting.

Looking for an overseas-settled match

Leave the country filter open and set the residency field to citizen or permanent resident. This is the search where paperwork decides the timeline, and it is your side that carries the risk, because your daughter or son is the one who will be sponsored. Before anything is agreed, establish the other side's residency status precisely — citizen, permanent resident, work visa or student visa all carry different rights to sponsor a spouse, and a student visa usually carries none at all. Verify the current income requirement on that country's own government site rather than relying on what a relative went through three years ago; several countries have raised these thresholds sharply and recently.

What the wait actually looks like

Spouse visa processing runs to several months at best and well over a year in many cases. The families who cope with it are the ones who planned for it: who lives where during the wait, who pays the fees, how often they will travel, and what happens if the application is refused first time. A family with no answer to that last question has not thought the proposal through.

Before the nikah, not after

  • Confirm the exact residency status, shown on a live video call
  • Check the current income threshold on the official site
  • Ask who pays the visa fees, and agree it in writing
  • Register the marriage promptly — every route needs the certificate
  • Collect photographs and evidence of contact from the start
  • Ask what the plan is if the application is refused
Never send money. Not for a visa, a ticket, a legal fee or an emergency. It is the most common rishta fraud aimed at families searching overseas, and no legitimate family asks.

Who is listed from Pakistan

Every profession, from surgeon to welder to homemaker. Every marital status, including second marriage, divorced, khula and widowed, listed identically to everyone else. Nuclear, joint and extended households, and families across every income bracket. We do not filter anyone into a side listing.
