Rishta in Nawabshah
Nawabshah the city, Shaheed Benazirabad the district — and a search that uses only one of those two names is quietly missing half of what is here.
Central Sindh, and a city with two names
The city is Nawabshah and has been for a very long time. The district has been Shaheed Benazirabad since 2008. Both names are in daily use, both turn up on degrees, service records and identity documents, and families here switch between them without thinking about it. That is worth knowing before you search, and the next section explains why.
Beyond the city the district runs through Sakrand, Daur, Qazi Ahmed, Daulatpur and Bandhi, canal land in every direction, with the Rohri canal and the Nara watering it. In the city the areas families name are the Housing Society, Airport Road, Mehran Colony and Hospital Road, and two universities sit here — one for engineering and one, unusually, a medical university for women.
The names through central Sindh are tribal before they are anything else: Jatoi, Rajper, Unar, Chandio, Lakhiar, Nizamani, Soomro, Abro, Panhwar, Mahar and Lashari among them, with Syed, Shah and Pirzada households carrying their own standing, and Memon, Shaikh and Arain families in the city trade. Caste, tribe and biradari are open fields on every profile here, so you can match on them before you approach rather than after.
On ByahMe, a Nawabshah profile shows everything a family actually needs to judge a match: age, height, education, profession, caste and biradari, sect, family type, father’s occupation, and written partner preferences. What stays hidden is the photograph and the WhatsApp number. Those unlock only when the member accepts your request — one request, one decision, no messaging, no back-and-forth with strangers.

What makes a Nawabshah search different
Two names, and a search using one of them misses half the district
This is a problem no other city page on this site has, and it is costing families matches. A household that thinks of itself as being from Shaheed Benazirabad and one that writes Nawabshah are in the same district, often in the same muhalla, and on any site with a city field they can sit on opposite sides of a filter and never see each other. Younger members and anyone whose paperwork came after 2008 tend to write Shaheed Benazirabad. Older families and almost everybody in conversation say Nawabshah.
The fix takes one line. Set the city field to whichever of the two this site offers you, and then write the other name into your written partner preferences in plain words — also known as Shaheed Benazirabad, or also known as Nawabshah. Members searching on the other name will find you in the written profile even when the dropdown does not match, and if you are the one searching, run it both ways before you decide the local pool is thin. It usually is not. It is just split in half.
This district educates women into medicine, and the training has a geography
A medical university for women sits in this city, and an engineering university beside it, which means profiles from here carry a far higher share of women with professional degrees than most districts produce. That is a real asset and families here treat it as one.
But there is a practical point that almost nobody raises until it is too late. A medical qualification is not finished at graduation. The house job and the postgraduate training that follow have to be done at a teaching hospital, physically, for years. If a match takes a young doctor to a town without one, her training simply stops — not because anybody forbade it, but because the thing she needs is not there. So the question on a profile from this district is not only whether she will work. It is whether the place the couple would actually live has a hospital where she can finish what she started, and whether the other household has thought about that at all. Write the answer into the preferences box on both sides. It is the single most useful sentence a family from here can add.
If land is part of the discussion, the nikah nama is the document that counts
This is landed country, and in landed families a marriage is sometimes discussed alongside property arrangements between the two households. Whatever is agreed, agree it in writing and put what belongs in the nikah nama into the nikah nama — the haq mehr stated as a real figure rather than a nominal one, the delegated right of divorce dealt with rather than crossed out, and anything promised to the bride recorded as hers.
Understandings between families about land are precisely the kind of thing that are remembered differently ten years later, and it is always the woman who has the least paper to stand on when that happens. None of this is distrust and none of it insults anybody; it is what the document exists for. Our piece on the nikah nama, linked further down this page, goes through the clauses one by one. And one thing that is fixed regardless of what the families agree: on this site nothing on a profile is a price, and the decision to release a photograph or a number is the member's own.
Cane, bananas and the mill
Agriculture on a profile from here means something more specific than it does further north. This is sugarcane country with mills to supply, banana and vegetable land, and wheat and cotton besides, and the difference between growing cane under contract to a mill and farming on your own account is a real difference in income and in risk. Say what the land grows, how much of it there is, whether it is owned or on lease, and whether the crop is committed to a mill. Four short answers, and they tell a family from anywhere in Sindh exactly what kind of household it is dealing with.
What the district does for work, written plainly
Farming above all — sugarcane, bananas, wheat, cotton and vegetables on the canal land — with the sugar mills and the trade around them. Medicine and the hospitals. The universities and teaching, which here is a large and respected employer. Government service, in a district headquarters with the offices and courts that go with it. Shops, transport and the grain and produce trade. And work in Karachi and in the Gulf, both of which take a steady stream of men from this district. On women's profiles from Nawabshah medicine and teaching come up most, and far more often than in most districts, which is why the training question above matters as much as it does.

Member details are never published on a public page. Register free and the search opens with full biodata on every profile.
Filter down to Nawabshah
Set the city and you see only Nawabshah profiles — and run the search again under Shaheed Benazirabad, because the two names split this district in half. Then widen to the nearby cities below.
Full biodata, openly
Education, profession, biradari, sect, family type, parents’ occupations and written preferences are all visible to members. Nothing important is held back behind a paywall.
Photos stay locked
Nobody in Nawabshah or anywhere else sees a photograph or a number until that member personally taps Accept. That rule has no exceptions and no administrative override.
Profiles connected to Nawabshah
The six questions a Nawabshah family asks first
Tribe and biradari
Jatoi, Rajper, Unar, Chandio, Lakhiar, Nizamani, Soomro, Abro, Panhwar, Mahar, Lashari, Syed, Shah, Pirzada, Memon, Shaikh, Arain. Written out, because it is read before anything else.
Mother tongue
Sindhi or Urdu, and sometimes both. In this city the two live side by side and the field tells the other family more than the address does.
City, town or village
Nawabshah itself, Sakrand, Daur, Qazi Ahmed, Daulatpur, Bandhi, or a village on the canal. Each runs on its own terms.
What the land grows
Cane, bananas, wheat, cotton or vegetables. How much, owned or leased, and whether the crop is committed to a mill.
Her degree, and whether she can finish it
What stage the qualification is at, and whether the town the couple would live in actually has the hospital or institution she needs to complete it.
Sect
An open field on every profile, so apply it early rather than discovering the difference at the third meeting when both families have already started to assume.

Searching from Nawabshah, in practice
Run it under both names, then widen
Set your city to Nawabshah, leave the country filter on Pakistan, and look. Then run the same search under Shaheed Benazirabad before you conclude anything about the size of the local pool, because this district is split across the two names and most families only ever try one of them.
After that, widen in the order families here actually use: the district first — Sakrand, Daur, Qazi Ahmed, Daulatpur — then Sanghar and Khairpur, then Hyderabad and Sukkur, then Karachi, where a great many households from central Sindh already have relatives settled. Filter tribe and mother tongue before anything else, then sect, then profession and education.
If the proposal is from Karachi or abroad
Karachi is the commonest move out of this district and it is worth treating as its own question: ask where in the city, whose house, and whether the family's base stays here or shifts there. For the Gulf, ask how many months a year he is actually in Pakistan, how many more years he means to stay on that visa, which household she would live in meanwhile, and who decides about money and the children. And for settled residence abroad — Britain, North America, Australia — set the residency field to citizen or permanent resident and read the written profile as well, since that field is filled in by the member and nobody here verifies it.
What is open on every Nawabshah profile
- Age, height, marital status and children
- Sect, biradari and mother tongue
- City, area and residency status
- Education, field of study and profession
- Family type, family class, parents' occupations, siblings
- Written partner preferences, in their own words
What stays locked
- Photographs, until that member accepts your request
- The WhatsApp number, until a connection is accepted
- The email address and the exact address, always
Public cards on this page carry a reference such as BM-PK-1042 rather than a name, and none of it is written into the page itself — the listings arrive after the page loads, from a feed marked noindex, so no member is filed in a search engine under their own biodata.
Photo requests are free. A number request uses one connection token, which is returned in full if the other side declines.
