A rishta service built around one rule
Nothing personal leaves your profile until you personally allow it.
Why we started
Ask any Pakistani family why they have not put a profile online and you will hear the same two answers. They do not want their daughter's photograph circulating. And they do not want strangers with their phone number.
Those are reasonable objections, and most matrimonial sites simply ignore them. Pay the fee, get the database, message anyone. That model works for dating. It does not work for a rishta, where the family is the decision-making unit and reputation is not recoverable once damaged.
So we built the service the way families said they wanted it. Full biodata, visible to everyone. Photographs and numbers, visible to nobody until released one person at a time by the member themselves. And no messaging system at all, because a chat inbox is precisely the thing families are afraid of.
What we are not
We are not a dating app. There is no chat, no swiping, no "who viewed you", no anonymous browsing of your pictures. We are not a social network and we do not want your attention for its own sake — if you find a match and delete your profile in three weeks, we have done our job.

What we hold ourselves to
Consent before disclosure
No photograph and no phone number is released to another member without an explicit accept from the profile owner. There is no administrative override for this, and staff cannot release your details on request.
Honest listings
We do not invent members to look bigger than we are, and we never quote a database figure we cannot stand behind. What you see is what is here.
No selling your data
We do not sell, rent or share member data with advertisers, marketing companies or other matrimonial services. Payment processing is the only third party that touches your information.
Plain pricing
One package, one price, and it expires by itself. We never store a card, so nothing can renew behind your back. Fees are non-refundable and we say so before you pay rather than after.
Real moderation
Reports are reviewed by a person. Profiles found to be fake, married, or misrepresenting immigration status are removed without refund.
A way out
You can pause your profile, revoke photo access you previously granted, or delete your account and all associated data permanently, from your dashboard.
Ethics and social responsibility
A rishta service sits inside people's private lives at the most consequential moment in them. That access has to be earned, and it can be lost in a single careless decision. These are the commitments we hold ourselves to, written plainly so you can hold us to them too.
Consent before anything moves
No photograph and no phone number leaves a profile without that person tapping Accept. Not for a paying member, not for a persuasive one, not for us. There is no administrative override, because a door that can be opened from the inside is not a locked door.
No chat, on purpose
Every harm we wanted to design out — harassment, pressure, months of private messaging behind a family's back — travels through a chat box. So we did not build one. It costs us engagement and we consider that a fair price.
Dignity for second marriages
Divorced, widowed, khula, separated and those seeking a second marriage are full members here, not a discounted category. They are not filtered into a side listing and their profiles carry no mark of difference. In our experience these families are treated worst by the traditional process, which is precisely why they are treated the same as everyone else here.
Every profession belongs
Our profession list runs from surgeon to welder to farmer to homemaker, because a service that only lists doctors and engineers is telling everyone else they are not worth listing. A carpenter in Gujrat deserves the same profile page as a consultant in Manchester.
We do not inflate our numbers
We do not publish member counts we cannot evidence, and we do not manufacture listings to look larger than we are. If our database is small in your city, you will find that out by searching rather than by reading a made-up figure.
No dowry, no brokering
We take no commission on a marriage, we do not broker introductions for a fee behind the scenes, and we will not host profiles that state dowry expectations. Our only income is the membership fee, which is published on the pricing page and is the same for everyone.
Safeguarding
Members must be 18 or over and legally free to marry. Reports of coercion, misrepresentation of marital status, or pressure on a woman to accept a proposal are treated as removal matters, not customer service disputes. Report anything at complaints@byahme.com.
Your data is not a product
We do not sell member data, we do not sell advertising against it, and we do not share it with matchmakers or third parties. Personal records live on a private server directory outside the public website. When you delete your profile, your photographs are deleted with it.
