Sheikh is a broad identity covering several distinct lines, and families are usually specific about which. Siddiqui, Qureshi and Farooqi households may all describe themselves as Sheikh while preferring to marry within their own line, so the first question is usually which line rather than whether.

Where families are usually from. Lahore, Faisalabad, Karachi and Multan, with Siddiqui and Qureshi lines maintaining distinct identities.

What the community tends to do. Trade, textiles, wholesale, pharmacy, and a strong professional presence in medicine and accountancy.

Every Sheikh profile here shows education, profession, sect, family type, family class, parents’ occupations, siblings and what the member has written about the kind of household they are looking for. What it does not show is the photograph or the contact number, and those move only when that member taps accept.

What the profile already tells you

Everything a family needs to judge a proposal is visible before you approach anybody, which is the point. You are not paying to unlock biodata; you are paying to make a connection.

Age, height, marital status and children

Education, field and profession

Their own words on what they are looking for

A word on biradari and character. Shared biradari predicts shared customs around weddings and households. It predicts nothing at all about kindness, honesty or how a family treats a daughter-in-law. Families who lean on it as a proxy for character are regularly surprised, which is why the verification steps below still matter.

Questions families ask about Sheikh proposals

Do you have Sheikh profiles?

Yes. Sheikh is one of the biradaris listed on the site, and you can filter on it directly alongside sect, city, education and profession. Numbers change weekly as members join and matched members close their profiles, so rather than quote a figure that would be stale by the time you read it, register free and search for yourself.

Which line, specifically?

Siddiqui, Qureshi, Farooqi or Ansari. Families often have firm preferences within the broader Sheikh identity, and it is better established in the first message than the third meeting.

Can I search Sheikh profiles overseas as well as in Pakistan?

Yes, and most families do. Set the country filter to open and you will see Sheikh members settled in the UK, Canada, the Gulf, Europe and Australia alongside those at home. Many of the strongest matches on this site are between a settled household abroad and one in Pakistan.

Is marrying outside the biradari acceptable here?

That is entirely your family’s decision and we take no position on it. What we do is make the preference visible: biradari is an open field on every profile, so a family that wants to stay within Sheikh can filter for it, and a family that is willing to look wider simply does not.

What about photographs?

Locked, on every profile, until that member personally accepts a request. Many families here share none at all, and a profile without photographs is listed identically to any other.

Before you meet

None of this is adversarial. Both families are doing it, and doing it openly is faster and less awkward than finding out slowly through rumour.
